Amplified Victoria relies on your generous donations to run our programs and offer reduced camper fees and scholarships.

Donate gear

Have a guitar in the closet that is a bit neglected? Amplified Victoria accepts donations of musical equipment in good (playable) condition.

Hold a fundraiser

If you'd like to help us raise funds for our camps and programs throughout the year, there are lots of fun ways to go about it.

Why donate to Amplified Victoria

We are currently working to expand our offerings throughout the year with planning underway for a regional rock camp in Castlemaine and a “Studio Sessions” program in Coburg, where young female, trans, and gender diverse participants can either learn sound engineering or songwriting and work with mentors to create professional demos.

Amplified Victoria is primarily a volunteer-run organisation and relies on the support of our community to provide opportunities for kids from low-income or other disadvantaged backgrounds.

Some of the costs we incur at camp are:

  • Venue Hire for the camp week and Showcase Gig

  • Studio Hire for Studio Sessions

  • Insurance (Public Liability and Volunteer Cover)

  • Catering (rock stars need lots of snacks!!)

  • Workshop Fees (e.g. Facilitator fees, and “Screenprint Your Own Band’s T-Shirt” materials)

  • Lunchtime Performer Fees

  • Mentor Stipends

  • Printing educational resources like the Guitar & Bass 101 Zines, so participants can keep learning even after camp ends!

  • Photocopying awesome camper-made Zines!

According to the ABS, about one-fifth of children play a musical instrument outside of school – but girls’ participation is lower than boys’. Women also represent just 20 percent of songwriters and composers registered with APRA.

Amplified Victoria works to identify and break down the barriers to participation in music in young female, trans, and gender diverse people, by creating an inclusive and fun environment that is also accessible to disadvantaged youth.

We are hoping to fundraise enough money to continue to offer financial aid in the way of either half-fee places or full scholarships ($0 fee) to 50% of the participants at each of our music camps. This allows children from low income or otherwise disadvantaged backgrounds to experience the joy of music and community that they may not otherwise be able to afford.

Any surplus money raised will offset some of the costs of our “Studio Sessions” program and Castlemaine Regional Rock camp, and allow us to offer financial aid for those projects as well.
